10 Enchanting Wedding Venues in Morocco’s Marrakech
Bringing magic to everything it touches, from deserts, riads, souks and palaces to romantic gardens and olive groves, it’s no surprise that Marrakech in Morocco has become such a destination for luxury weddings in recent years. The perfect balance between buzzy and tranquil, it is also just a short flight away from London, has great weather both in and out of season and is quite simply a really memorable spot to host your wedding day.
We had such fun looking at all the beautiful weddings held in Marrakech when creating this article, and have no doubt you’ll be hugely inspired by the wedding venues we’ve listed below.
1. Villa Taj
Crafted by two event masterminds, Marianne Labadie and David Garnier, following over 15 years organising events in Morocco and beyond, Villa Taj is recognised as one of the most beautiful wedding venues in Marrakech. Designed specifically to host weddings, the whole space has a really lovely flow to it as you move seamlessly between their four distinct reception areas. Host a romantic ceremony beneath their 100 year old olive trees styled to match your vision, followed by delicious sundowner cocktails on the rooftop and dinner beside their 25 metre pool, which looks incredible at nightfall illuminated with lanterns and floating candles. The venue can host between 30 to 150 of your guests for the ceremony and reception, and has 21 beautifully appointed bedrooms, along with further accommodation in hotels nearby. For the days surrounding the wedding, celebrate with a memorable rehearsal dinner inside their enchanting and immersive 1001 Nights Tent, and nurse any weary heads after the wedding with a bohemian styled brunch nestled amongst the olive groves.
2. Beldi Country Club
Known for its stunning glasshouse where couples choose to host their ceremonies and receptions, the Beldi Country Club is surrounded by 15 hectares of beautiful land. Here you’ll find several gardens, pretty salons, a riad, a large ksar, a pool and the large glasshouse itself otherwise known as ‘L’Orangeraie’ that can host events all year round. The venue is extremely adaptable to different wedding sizes due to their breadth of lovely spaces and can also sleep guests across their 38 bedroom suites. 3. The Royal Mansour
Having played host to some of the most memorable weddings in Marrakech, The Royal Mansour is an icon filled with sumptuous spaces and provides high class service, catering and decor. With each room individually designed, the spaces shows off the wealth of craftsmanship in Morocco and are a real feast for the eyes. Host your ceremony and reception within their gardens, filled with floral terraces, luxurious alleyways and private alcoves. Or alternatively choose to host them within the Grand Riad, which is filled with decadent lounges that open onto the garden, a swimming pool and roof terrace.

4. La Mamounia
The ultimate in luxury and home to opulent Moorish architecture, the stunning La Mamounia is set within decadent royal gardens, that really set the tone for the whole venue. Filled to the brim with colourful and patterned spaces that are guaranteed to charm, there is an abundance of lovely rooms to choose from for both your vows and reception. Host your wedding dinner in one of their many restaurant including La terrasse of La Marocain restaurant, Le Club within the Le Marocain restaurant or Le Grand Salon which have the option of Moroccan, Asian and Italian cuisine to choose from. They also have a pretty outdoor pool flanked by palm trees, an indoor spa pool and beauty salon and plenty of rooms for your guests to stay in - 135 to be precise! Plus whilst the venue is literally dripping in luxury, it is also a sustainable wedding venue that uses solar power and fresh organic produce from their own vegetable garden, so you get the best of both worlds in that respect too.

5. Amanjena
Striking the perfect balance between peaceful and secluded whilst still being close to the buzzing medina, a well-known Unesco World Heritage Site, Amanjena is the ideal wedding venue location for the couple who want a tranquil wedding with plenty of activities available for the days around the wedding. Forming the prettiest of backdrops to your wedding day, the rosy hued building is filled with romance and charm and can host weddings both large and small. For smaller weddings, host an intimate courtyard reception by the trickling fountain or for a larger wedding, host it within their elaborate Caidal tent. Alongside these spaces they also have plenty of lounges, the Water Bassin, Pool Terrace, Olive Grove and restaurants to choose from. The hotel resort overlooks the Amelkis Golf Course through to the High Atlas Mountains and its North African influences can be felt through into their cuisine, which is ‘abound with the fragrant spaces’ of the exotic land surrounding it. You can also host your guests on site, with plenty of accommodation available.

6. Palais Namaskar
Part of the renowned Oetker Collection of Hotels and a member of Leading Hotels of the World, the 5* Palais Namaskar is a wonderful blend of Moorish tradition and Asian hospitality, with the space developed following Feng Shui principles. Located beneath the Atlas Mountains, it has 12 acres of gardens and an impressive 4 acres of lakes too. The venue can host up to 200 of your guests and sleep many of them across their 41 suites and private villas, and has an impressive late license until 3am too so you can party the night away!

7. Selman
Nestled at the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, the sumptuous Selman is designed by renowned French architect Jacques Garcia as a testament to Moorish palaces and Arab design. With elegant and relaxing spaces throughout, the hotel is created in homage to the purebred Arabian horse, the finest of all horse breeds, and this is brought to life through meticulous touches, decorations by local artisans and a real emphasis on Moroccan culture. With the ability to host up to 1000 guests, the venue has a number of flexible spaces both inside and out, and offers the ability to privatise the full property. For something a little different, host an intimate dinner by the stables with a performance from the purebreds, or embrace a larger affair around the hotel’s 80 metre pool.

8. Scarabeo Camp
Rustic yet stylish in design, the cool Scarabeo Camp is the perfect location if you’re after a wedding with a festival feel. Nestled in the Agafay Desert with the Atlas Mountains as your backdrop, it is made up of a collection of elegant white tents and tipis, connected by woven floor mats and romantically lit by a heavy dose of candles and lanterns. Ideal for al fresco weddings both large and small, the venue has over 10 years of experience and an on site wedding planner to assist you along the way. It can also sleep up to 70 guests, has its own swimming pool, in-house catering and an on-site car park.

9. Kesbah Tamadot
Blending Moroccan charm with luxurious amenities, the award-winning Kesbah Tamadot was bought by Sir Richard Branson during one of his famous ballooning expeditions, and can be found at the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. Suitable for weddings large and small, you can celebrate both your ceremony and reception here, with a wedding dinner on their Roof Terrace or in their Asmoun Lounge Terrace for smaller weddings, or by the Pool Bar for larger soirées. As part of your wedding day, you and up to 85 guests will be served a Gala Dinner of 4 courses, canapés and sparkling wine, before partying the night away and retiring to one of the hotel’s beautiful 29 individually designed bedrooms. With an abundance of spaces to choose from varying from courtyards to rooftops, you can really make the most of the spectacular interior design throughout your day.
