Located in the Centre-North of Italy, the region of Tuscany is well-known for its rolling hills, golden vineyards, medieval hilltop towns and Chianti wine. Tuscany itself encompasses a number of well loved Italian cities including Florence, Pisa, Siena and Lucca, that compliment the Tuscan countryside just beautifully. 1. Borgo Casa al Vento
Surrounded by vineyards in the Chianti region of Italy, this lovely venue is enveloped in lots of pretty greenery and rolling hills. Exclusively yours for the weekend, you can host both your ceremony and reception in the panoramic gardens, with sunset views of the vineyard later in the evening. They are able to cater for up to 100 guests seated outside or 80 inside, and the venue can be fully rented to sleep 70 of your guests. Make sure at some point during the wedding you pop down to their atmospheric wine cellars for some cool couple photos too! They also have venue managers on hand to help throughout the wedding, and the food they serve is traditional and authentic Tuscan cuisine that feels very in keeping with the surroundings.

2. Borgo Castelvecchi
Owned by a noble Italian family for more than six centuries, Borgo Castelvecchi is a well-loved and cared for spot that is surrounded by 300 acres of vineyards in the heart of Chianti. Wedding celebrations can be held outside, in their 150 square metre hall or in their covered terrace that leads onto the park avenue. Once dinner is well and truly feasted upon, enjoy watching the sun go down from their pergola within the grounds. The venue also has an intimate restaurant which you can use for smaller weddings or the days around the wedding itself, and up to 100 guests can stay within the villa and the borgo.

3. Villa Scorzi
Just moments from Pisa, Livorno and Lucca, the picture perfect Villa Scorzi is a restored 14th century building surrounded by 6 hectares of land. For outdoor celebrations, you have the option of the Monumental Court and Indoor Court covered in fairy lights to choose from and for indoor weddings, their Limonaia seats up to 220 guests, their Sala del Grana 140 guests and their Sala Degli Ulivi seats 80 guests. Their Italian Gardens make for a beautiful backdrop for all your photos and you’ll also be pleased to hear the venue has lovely air con throughout! Plus, let your guests arrive in style with a large parking area and valet service.

4. Fattoria di Casalappi
Located within a thoughtfully restored 19th century hamlet, this historic wedding venue benefits from pretty green surroundings whilst also only being a 15 minute drive from the coast. In its recent renovations, they have modernised the interiors but have been highly considerate of the building’s original features, creating a timeless and romantic feel throughout. The venue is able to host celebrations both indoors and out and can cater for up to 140 of your guests. Indoors you can expect warm lighting, vaulted ceiling and stone archways teamed with an eclectic mix of interior styles and antiques, ranging from traditional Tuscan style to Art Nouveau. Outside, you can host your wedding in the manor park surrounded by lots of beautiful flowers and make the most of the swimming pool too on the days around your wedding.

5. Castello di Montignano
A cool and stylish wedding venue, Castello di Montignano has been decorated with original furnishings all hand restored to remain inkeeping with the more modern design and decor of the building. It has plenty of areas for you to host up to 250 of your guests within, from the medieval Horthus that can host up to 80 guests to the large white wooden structure within the Olive Park that can host up to 250 guests. The latter has a lovely view of the valley below on one side and the castle on the other and can be fully opened or heated, so works for both hot and colder wedding months. Alternatively you can also host your wedding within the castle, with the first floor able to seat up to 100 guests beneath ancient arches and vaulted ceilings or the Fireplace Room on the second floor, that is particularly cosy for up to 30 people.

6. Terzo di Danciano
Known for its panoramic position, the quaint Terzo di Danciano is a small medieval hamlet located in the rolling hills of the Tuscan countryside. Choose to host your wedding outside on their intimate terrace garden overlooking lush forest and hills or on their paved courtyard, or alternatively indoors in their Bachificio building. Built in 1860, the building is a converted old silk worm nursery, that is now a grand space with 8.5 metre high stone walls and cathedral like ceilings. With large French doors on all sides that can be opened up, it can seat up to 150 of your guests. For accommodation, their 800 year old main house has 10 bedrooms that can sleep 22 adults, along with a swimming pool and spa.
