Flower shops
These can typically be discovered on the local streets and will sell flowers, bouquets and plants within their shop. If your flower requirements are fairly low-key, they’ll be able to create your bridal bouquets and buttonholes for you, but their working space and team numbers mean they probably can’t prep flowers for your whole wedding. This is a good option for small weddings, elopements or if you’re planning to not feature flowers particularly heavily throughout your day.
Floral design studios
Floral design studios tend to be a mix between florists that have a storefront and others that don’t and work from a workshop space. They’re usually dedicated to doing wedding and event flowers between May and September, with the rest of their time focused heavily on flowers for purely events. There’s a strong likelihood they may have worked at your venue, so they’ll be able to advise what will look great and inform you on what is and isn’t possible within that venue. With events being their bread and butter, they’ll often have lots of vases and pots that you’ll be able to rent from them to get the look and feel that you’re after. Most floral design studios will have a distinctive style that they’ll stick to, so it’s important to research and check their style suits you well.
Wedding designers and planners
It’s becoming increasingly more common for wedding planners to offer floristry services too. This is good option if you would like to keep things streamlined, have a single contact for all things decorative and keep the floral design in line with their style for everything else. One thing to check is that they are professionally trained, so you can be confident that they’re able to create those trickier floral arrangements. Some of them aren’t the florist themselves but are partnered with a professional florist, so it’s worth asking and noting this too.

Fleur’s Design by Faustine
After years of training and working in London as a florist alongside some of the most prestigious florists in the country, Faustine decided to come back to her home town in Montpellier to pursue her passion there through Fleur’s Design. Whilst in London she created arrangements for locations such as The Gherkin, Harrods, The Orient Express, Bulgari and Boodles to name just a few. Alongside this she also worked on film and television productions such as Mr Selfridge and the remake of Beauty and the Beast, so it’s fair to say she knows a good arrangement when she sees one.
Les Ephemeres
Romantic, wild and organic in style, Les Ephemeres takes inspiration from their surrounding Brittany landscape along with beloved English, lightly disorganised gardens. The owner Chloé was born in New York but grew up in France, with a few years spent at a boarding school in Britain. Their florals are inspired by nature, timeless elegance and a love for detail. Their event clients include brands such as Tom Ford, Jo Malone, Chanel, Dior, Dolce and Gabbana, La Mer and Bobbi Brown. Based in the middle of Normandy, they also have a natural ribbon dyeing company called Daucus Tinctura, creating ribbons that are the perfect accompaniment to your wedding florals.
