10 Lovely Ways to Decorate Round Tables

Both round and long tables at a wedding are wonderful options for their own reasons. Round tables are often more convivial and easier for everyone to interact, whereas long tables create a nice bustle throughout the room. Whichever you decide, it’s important you think about how you dress them, as when it comes to florals, certain arrangements work better on certain table shapes.

Below we’ve listed 10 of our favourite ways to dress round tables to help get you inspired.

1. Large central arrangement

A classic way to make an impact is to invest in one large central floral arrangement filled with lots of lovely blooms. That way the arrangement won’t feel lost within the centre of the table.

2. High central arrangement

Go big and glamorous with a high central arrangement, it’s a great way to bring opulence to the table but without blocking the view of your guests.

5. Wreathed lantern

A classically romantic option that’s often quite cost effective is a floral or foliage wreath around a lantern. Usually created within floristry foam, they’ll last for days after your wedding day so are a lovely thing for people to take home with them too.

6. Floral urn

A traditional and pretty option is to have your floral arrangements sprouting out of urns, be they terracotta or metal. It’s a nice way to set the tone of the day and make an impact on the table. If you fancy something in addition to this, we recommend adding candles and little bud vases around it too.

7. Candles and foliage

Keep things chic and simple by sticking with elegant candle vases and a touch of foliage. These candles are also ideal if you’re concerned about things getting knocked, as they are nicely encased.

8. Bottles of blooms

Do more with less by placing pretty stems of flowers and foliage into mismatch bottles and cluster them in the centre of the table. Many couples often place these on top of a tray or a slice of wood to ground the bottles to the table.

9. Foliage garland

Create a garland of foliage and drape it across the table with candles within it, to create a laidback and romantic look. This also works if you fancy weaving some flowers into the mix too.

10. Fabric runner

Use delicate fabric as a runner going across the table and place your flowers and tea lights upon it. The idea is to make it look like it’s just been effortlessly thrown across the table, although we all know that’s not actually the case!
